Education Management Directorate
The Training and Development function focuses on designing, implementing, and reviewing policies, strategies, and programmes aimed at building capacity in education management. It involves coordinating and delivering training, developing curricula and instructional materials, ensuring quality standards in examinations and certifications, and providing strategic leadership in national education management training. The function also supports education for sustainable development, manages institutional resources, oversees graduation and certification processes, and runs the Learning Resource Centre. Furthermore, it fosters partnerships with other institutions, monitors and evaluates collaborative programmes, and maintains stakeholder databases to enhance the effectiveness and reach of education management training.

Business Development Directorate
The Business Development function involves formulating, implementing, and reviewing strategies, policies, and guidelines to drive the institute’s growth. It includes developing both short-term and long-term business plans, coordinating business development products and services, and conducting market analysis to identify strengths and growth opportunities. The role also entails recommending viable income-generating activities (IGAs), gathering market intelligence to inform service improvement, and preparing proposals to promote the institute’s core business and expand its market presence.

Research & Consultancy
The Consultancy and Research Development Function focuses on developing, implementing, and reviewing policies, strategies, and guidelines related to research and consultancy in education management. It involves conducting research on education trends and emerging issues, as well as monitoring and evaluating research activities. The function also includes the publication and dissemination of research findings through journals, reports, and public forums.
Additionally, it offers consultancy services to key education stakeholders such as government agencies, school administrators, boards of management, and parents’ associations. These services cover areas like curriculum development, student selection, and institutional management. The function is also responsible for sourcing consultancy opportunities and developing relevant terms of reference.
To support knowledge sharing and professional development, the function organizes forums, develops teacher training programs, and provides online and technical education support. It also offers guidance on the adoption of emerging technologies in education. Finally, it manages an Education Management Resource Centre to support both research and consultancy activities.
