The Kenya Education Management Institute (KEMI) is proud to participate in the ADEA Triennale 2025, taking place from 29th to 30th October 2025 in Accra, Ghana.
This year’s event is held under the theme:
“Strengthening the Resilience of Africa’s Educational Systems: Advancing Towards Ending Learning Poverty by 2035 with a Well-Educated and Skilled Workforce for the Continent and Beyond.”
The ADEA Triennale organized by the Association for the Development of Education in Africa (ADEA) is a premier high-level forum held every three years. It serves as a pivotal platform for political dialogue, peer learning, and knowledge exchange, bringing together African policymakers, educators, researchers, and development partners to shape the transformation of education systems across the continent.
KEMI is contributing to this year’s Triennale with a presentation on its innovative App-Based Blended Continuous Professional Development (CPD) Programs, showcasing how digital learning solutions are enhancing professional capacity in Kenya’s education sector.
KEMI is represented by Mr. Martin Kisilu, Deputy Director, Curriculum Development and Training, who will share insights into the institute’s experiences and lessons learned in implementing scalable, technology-driven professional development for educators.

He presented on Side Event 7 which focused on School Leadership Professional Development – Innovative and sustainable approaches in school leadership, in the Decade of Education for Africa.

He shared his experiences on how KEMI and VVOB have been able to implement blended learning of school leadership in Kenya. This has been made possible with the INCREASE program that is being implemented by KEMI with the support of VVOB
KEMI is committed to advancing resilient, inclusive, and innovative teacher and school leader development across Kenya and Africa. Its participation in the ADEA Triennale 2025 underscores its dedication to leveraging digital solutions and partnerships to strengthen education systems and end learning poverty by 2035.
